Give KIDS the one skill that opens every door™
Public speaking skills gives kids an edge in every path they choose — school, friendships, future careers. Unlike other skills, it's one they can develop quickly, building confidence that carries into everything they do.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Every parent wants their child to succeed. Empower them with the communication skills to get there.
You probably wish you’d learned this sooner
Remember a time when you couldn't find the words, froze in the spotlight, or didn't have the confidence to speak up? Help your child seize the moment instead of freeze. Give them the skill you wish you'd had.
“I want my kid to have good communication skills and be able to speak up with confidence.”
That's what the parents who find Jennifer say — almost word for word. The good news is: this is completely learnable. With the right structure, in less time than a soccer season, your child can walk into any room with greater presence, confidence, and something to say.
This isn't about giving speeches. It's about what happens when kids can't
Public speaking isn't a niche skill, it shows up everywhere in your child's life. Here's what Jennifer's 10+ years of experience tell us:
Kids who can't express themselves confidently get passed over for leadership roles, stay quiet in class even when they know the answer, and carry that fear of being seen into their careers — where it limits their salary, their influence, and their opportunities.
Confident communicators become team captains, get chosen for leadership roles, advocate for themselves against bullies and in boardrooms. In an age where AI is replacing almost everything, they are irreplaceable.
Let's be honest about what most people believe
A Transformational Journey
Parents who've watched their kids go through Jennifer's program describe the same shift: something changes. They walk differently. They look adults in the eye. They lean into conversations instead of shrinking from them.
“My homeschooled daughters began their KidTalks journey with Miss Jen as shrinking violets, not knowing a thing about how to develop a thought or idea into something they could engage an audience with. With this curriculum, they have transformed into organized, dynamic and poised public speakers who have proven themselves capable of delivering their ideas eloquently, effectively and with panache.”

What parents and educators say
"When we first saw Olivia give a speech as a high school student, we knew right then that we wanted our daughter to have that skill. It has been a game changer for her confidence and leadership ever since."
"The skill of public speaking is an incredible asset. Confidence is a major byproduct. Both my children have extremely benefited — it will aid them throughout their lives."
"As a speech evaluator, I can always tell which kids have been through the KidTalks program. They are more organized, more prepared, and significantly more confident. KidTalks kids absolutely have an advantage."
Kids who didn't think they could. Until they did

Kacy came to Jennifer's program with no presence, no confidence, and no idea how she was going to get through a single speech. She was determined and that was enough.

She watched it change her own daughter's life. Then she spent a decade making it available to every kid

Jennifer's youngest daughter Olivia was required to give a speech at a 4-H presentation day. She did a terrible job — not because she wasn't capable, but because no one had ever taught her how. There was no structure. No foundation. Just an assignment and a stage.
The next year, Jennifer took over as the 4-H public speaking project leader. Over the following decade, she watched her daughter go from struggling with her first speech to winning the 2020 California State Speech Trek competition sponsored by the American Association of University Women. You can view Olivia's AAUW speech here.
She also watched dozens of other kids make that same journey — from terrified to transformed. So she built it into a curriculum that any kid, anywhere, could use.
The magic of KidTalks is that Jennifer and Olivia co-teach the course — giving students both the parent/coach perspective and the student perspective from someone who has actually done it herself.
Why this works better than anything else
Great public speaking is equal parts what you say and how you say it. At KidTalks, we approach public speaking as a skill set that combines both and gets built one step at a time.
Our method breaks public speaking into simple, structured building blocks — like building with LEGOs — one piece at a time, in the right order, until students can confidently stand up and share their ideas. And because real confidence comes from doing, every student has the opportunity to earn a Public Speaking Certification, demonstrating not just what they’ve learned, but what they can do.
Content
What to say. Finding the right topic, developing meaningful ideas, and knowing that what you're saying actually matters.
Structure
How to organize it. A clear framework — Hook, intro, body, conclusion, and closing device — so audiences listen and remember.
Delivery
How to say it. Eye contact, voice, posture, pacing — built through exercises that make kids feel these skills, not just understand them.
Certification
Students don't just learn public speaking — they prove it. Our course includes certification to demonstrate real mastery.
Each of the 30 video lessons is short, typically 3 to 5 minutes. Every lesson builds on the last. There are no big leaps, no moments of overwhelm. Just the next small step, and the one after that.
And because Jennifer built this for kids specifically — not adults — it accounts for how children actually learn: through games, stories, relatable examples, and a safe environment to make mistakes and try again.
“Confidence is built, not given. The fastest proven way to build real confidence in a child is through the skill of public speaking — because real skills, earned through real effort, are what create the belief that 'I can do hard things.'”
